Converting, refurbishing or designing a property might feel overwhelming. Homeowners and developers face many choices, but often struggle to find the perfect solution. JETArch Design makes this process simple for you.

Whether minimal or contemporary or rich and opulent, a 20th century semi-detached or a 17th century listed farmhouse, our in-house design team will help you make your vision a reality.

"JETArch invest considerable time in really trying to understand what the client wants to achieve in the build process – not just the technical finish but also understanding how we want to live in the space. They make the process very straightforward and are incredibly responsive to inevitable changes that happen once you have the builders on the actual site. They were good communicators and supported us through the project until completion. We would highly recommend JETArch Design Ltd"

Process

JETArch Design work primarily as Principal Designers and lead coordinators across all stages required to take a project from that initial site consultation to completion. We have found that by working this way we can provide the best service for our clients that helps keep control of the design process by providing a golden thread approach.

The stages of each project can broadly be broken down into the following 4 categories.

01 - Feasibility

The feasibility stage is important in every project as it enables you as a client to understand what can be achieved and what the approximate costs involved may be. It is a relatively quick way to understand what possibilities a project may have and can be summed up in a feasibility study that can be used for Pre-Application Advice with a local authority.

02 - Planning

The process for planning can be difficult to navigate especially when there is National Policies, Local Plans and Neighbourhood Plans to consider. Our extensive, in-depth knowledge of the planning process enables our clients to reduce their risks in obtaining permission. There can be multiple disciplines to consider such as ecology, arboriculture, heritage and highways but with our approved partners we can provide a cohesive approach for our clients. Planning is sought from the local authority.

03 - Building regulations

Building regulations approval will be required for almost all projects that involve construction. Aside from details provided by other consultants, such as structural engineering, we produced all the drawings and specifications required to not only gain building regulations approval, but also to provide a construction package for contractors. Building Regulations approval can be sought either from the local authority or from Building Control Approvers (formerly known as Approved Inspectors).

04 - Project management

Project management services can be vital in coordinating work on site between consultants, sub-contractors and the Principal Contractor. When the construction work is underway, site meetings are important to keep a track of the progress and address any issues in a timely manner. This is the only service we provide that can alter significantly to the level needed for each individual project.
