Council: South Oxfordshire Project Size: 807sqft
This mid-19th Century red brick property was originally a village hall and so benefits from extremely high ceilings but needed its layout updating to a contemporary lifestyle.
The brief was to create a large open plan kitchen/dining/summer room at the rear of the property to replace the small, dark kitchen in the centre of the house. A new utility and pantry was added to supplement the kitchen. The stair was opened up to allow more light into the centre of the house and glazed partitions and large roof lights added to maximize the amount of light.
